The Dream Library : Night One This is a collaborative exhibition that integrates art creation, musical performance, and culinary experience, co-created by Lin ChaoYu, Kao Chia-Wei, and Chien Ya-Lin. “The entrance to the Dream Library has two gates: One made of Horn, allowing true dreams to pass through. One cast from Ivory, bringing forth illusory images.” The guardian of The Gate of Ivory upon hearing the illusory sounds of dreams—filled with fantasy, expectation, fear, desire, and jealousy—paints their physical forms. Some dreams are imprinted on fabric; others leave only cracks and light shadows. The guardian of The Gate of Horn restores the scent and texture of true dreams using food. The moment the food enters the mouth, the sense of taste leads the traveler to the deepest memories buried within the folds of the brain. At the deepest part of the library lies The Gate of Melody , where all dreams converge in a pond. The guardian of the Gate of Melody wraps the dust-covered dreams in song and uses the papyrus growing from the pond to craft books, one after another. Travelers who reach the depths of the dream world are invited to drink from the pond, consuming the dreams of others. This event combines musical performance, culinary tasting, and artistic installation to explore the relationship between the sensory experience and memory. Through the interplay of cuisine, sound, and installation, the audience is invited to contemplate how they interact with the world. The invited "Dream Travelers" are dream-eating creatures. On the first night, they swallow dreams, see memories, hear sounds, digest them, and nourish their bodies.
